I recently purchase the DS-500 after having the Dinotte R-400 (Daytime only). Much to my surprise the DS-500 is much brighter on high power, plus has a switch to reduce the power which enables the DS-500 to be night time legal as well as the brightest daytime taillight made. Although not inexpensive, I feel that my safety is well worth the cost of this light. I feel all cyclists should own one.
